TASTE TENT DECORATION WINNERS

VETERANS’ TRIBUTE AT THE TASTE OF ORLAND PARK

EVERY ONE OF THE RESTAURANT VENDORS DID AN AMAZING JOB THIS YEAR DECORATING THEIR TENTS AND SERVING DELICIOUS FOOD TO ALL IN ATTENDANCE. That being said, only three restaurants could be chosen as winners of the Taste of Orland Park 2019 Tent Decorating Contest!

RIVIERA COUNTRY CLUB - 2nd Place

VETERANS WERE HONORED FOR THEIR SERVICE ON AUGUST 4 AT THE 2019 TASTE OF ORLAND PARK’S VETERANS’ TRIBUTE. Mayor Keith Pekau, a veteran himself having served in the US Air Force, welcomed those in attendance. American Legion Post 111, Orland-Palos VFW Post 2604 and Veterans Voices color guards opened up the ceremony. American Veterans Motorcycle Riders Association provided an Honor Ride. Names of those who served were read aloud during a non-denominational service. The Orland Park Veterans’ Commission collected names from individuals, family and friends to make up the long list of names reflected upon at the ceremony. Master of Ceremonies Dale Carver served as the master of ceremonies. Thank you to those who joined us for the annual event at the Taste and thank you to those who served and continue to serve for your sacrifice and service.
