DIAPER DASH • Saturday, November 23, 9:00 AM – 9:30 AM • Sportsplex Gym • In conjunction with the Kids’ Turkey Trot, the Toddler Diaper Dash for 1 and 2 year olds is back again. Gobble, gobble all the way to the finish line. TURKEY SHOOT FREE-THROW CONTEST • Sunday, November 24, 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM • Sportsplex Gym • Win a turkey for Thanksgiving dinner at our annual Turkey Shoot. Teams will consist of one parent and one child and will be grouped according to age. All ages are welcome. Mini basketballs and mini hoops will be used for the younger age levels. • Feel the burn before you sit down for the Thanksgiving feast! This 2.5 mile chip timed cross country race is run through the streets, paths, and woods of Orland Park. Awards to the top overall male & female finishers, as well as the top three finishers in each age group and gender. Pre-registration is required and limited to 900, so register early. All participants receive a long sleeved dri-fit race shirt and are eligible for post-race raffle prizes. HOLIDAY FESTIVAL & TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY • Sunday, December 1, 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM • Orland Park Civic Center • Join us for our annual holiday festival and tree lighting ceremony and kick off your holiday season. The holiday market returns with crafts, holiday items, food, beer and wine available for purchase. Participants will enjoy sleigh rides, live entertainment, activities and more. ‘A CHRISTMAS STORY’ DIRECTED BY TYLER MC MAHON • Presented by the Village of Orland Park Theatre Troupe • Friday, December 13 – 7:00 PM Saturday, December 14 – 7:00 PM Sunday, December 15 – 2:00 PM • Orland Park Civic Center • Come start the holiday season enjoying humorist Jean Shepherd’s memoir of growing up in the midwest of the 1940’s following 9-year old Ralphie Parker in his quest to get a genuine Red Ryder bb gun under the tree for Christmas. • Tickets: $14 adults / $12 senior & student / $10 child (12 & under) CHILDREN’S NEW YEARS CELEBRATION • Saturday, December 28 – 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM • Franklin Loebe Center • Join us at our New Year’s party and celebrate the countdown with your children. Festivities include a dj, dancing, activities, food and fun. No New Year’s celebration would be complete without party favors and the big countdown. • Ages 2-10 (must be accompanied by a paying adult)

• Celebrate the spirit of the holiday season by gathering your group and join us for our 6th Annual Community Tree Trim. Scout troops, church and youth groups, athletic teams, and community members are invited to adopt a tree to decorate in their own special way. The community trees will once again be part of our annual Holiday Festival & Tree Lighting Ceremony, including the holiday decor on the Village Center lawn, on Sunday, December 1, from 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM. Trees are available on a first-come, first-served basis. • No cost to adopt a tree, limited quantities available • Trees are approximately 5’ tall and will include lights and a sign with your organization name • You provide the decorations (hand-made or store bought) • Tree decoration needs to be completed by Saturday, November 30 • Trees will be assigned to each organization LIONS CLUB CHRISTMAS TREE & WREATH SALE • The Lions Club will be selling Christmas trees and wreaths daily, November 29 until trees are sold out. • Monday-Friday: 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM Sat: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM Sun: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM • Location: 14700 S. Ravinia avenue (south of village hall) SANTA’S PIT STOP AT SPORTSPLEX • Saturday, December 7, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM • Sportsplex • Santa will be making his annual stop at the Sportsplex. Bring your camera to capture a picture of your child’s visit with Santa.

• We will be hosting a huge indoor garage sale. This event is held to raise funds for the special recreation program. This sale is bound to be fun for everyone. Please come out and shop ‘til you drop or rent a table and sell your goods.

Rink closes when warming house closes (see hours below). • Warming house / skate rental hours (subject to change) Monday – Thursday: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM Friday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM

• Dress up in your favorite princess or prince wardrobe and join us for an enchanted evening at Cinderella’s Ball. Participants will enjoy a magical time with a dj, dancing, a craft, games, and light dinner. • Ages 3 & up

KIDS’ TURKEY TROT • Saturday, November 23, 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM • Sportsplex Track • Friends and family, come cheer on the kids, ages 3-9, as they participate in their very own turkey trot at the Sportsplex indoor track. Race time is approximate. Participants are asked to arrive /check-in 15 – 20 minutes before time of age division.
