HUMPHREY HOUSE FUNDRAISER 08/27/2022 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM afternoon transported back in time. Tour historic Orland sites by bus, including the Chiappetti Slaughterhouse and Hostert Cabins. Meet characters dressed as early Orland residents, sharing stories of Orland’s past. At the end of the “living history” tour, meet back at the Humphrey House to enjoy hors d’oeuvres, music and hear about the house and future plans. Celebrate Orland Park’s 130 anniversary at the Museum with this new exhibit. Learn about what was happening in America during the time Orland Park was incorporated, and how far the Village has come in its 100+ years of existence.

Stellwagen Farm The Village of Orland Park acquired the historic 60 acre farm, operated by the Stellwagen family since 1860, through its Open Lands program in 2002. Hostert Log Cabins These cabins, located off-site on West Avenue, showcase 19th- century log cabin construction and the lifestyle of Orland’s earliest settlers. Chiappetti Slaughterhouse In 1986, a 60-ton single-story limestone building was carefully moved along 144th Place from the Andrew Corporation property and placed near a village-owned site at Ravinia Avenue. Humphrey House An 1881 home listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the residence of Orland Park’s first mayor, John Humphrey.
