INTRODUCING YOUR NEW POLICE CHIEF: ERIC ROSSI

At the May 2, 2022 meeting of the Village Board, Interim Chief of Police Eric Rossi was sworn in by Mayor Keith Pekau as the Village’s new Chief of Police. Rossi’s father, Angelo Rossi, made it official with a pinning of the Chief’s badge. Congratulations to Orland Park Police Chief Eric Rossi!

After being with the Police Department for almost 20 years, Rossi took over for former Chief Joseph Mitchell. Rossi had been serving as the interim chief of the police department since Chief Mitchell retired in March.

Eric Rossi has been a member of the Orland Park Police Department for more than 18 years and has served as a patrol officer, bicycle patrol officer, field training officer, investigator, patrol sergeant, lieutenant in administration, investigations commander and deputy Chief. Chief Rossi also served on the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force as an investigator and assistant commander.
