2022 Police Annual Report
In 2015, the Orland Park Police Department created a twelve (12) member Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) to assist in de escalating potentially volatile situations where individuals were experiencing a mental health crisis. The Crisis Intervention Team has been successful in reducing both the total number of incidents in which subjects are taken for psychiatric evaluation as well as the number of incidents in which they were transported involuntarily.
