HOLIDAY FESTIVAL & TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY DAY/DATE: Sunday /Nov 28 TIME: 4p- 7p | LOCATION: Civic Center 4p – (New) Parade | 4p – Holiday Festival 5p – Official Tree Lighting | ALL AGES! Start your holiday season right here in Orland Park with our new parade followed by Holiday Festival activities including live entertainment, holiday arts and crafts market, children’s craft and more. Gather at the Village Hall circle at 5pm for the lighting of the official holiday tree and spectacular lawn décor. Avenue parade route to enjoy and cheer on parade participants. The parade will include Sandburg High School Chamber Choir, Ballet 5:8, Rancho La Tinaja (Mexican dancing horse), ethnic and non-profit groups, area businesses and more. Leo, the Orland Park Police Dept. therapy dog, will be joining the parade. Of course no holiday parade would be complete without Santa! FREE COMMUNITY TREE TRIMMING Gather your family or group and celebrate the start of the holiday season at our 6th annual community tree trim. Scout troops, youth and church groups, athletic teams, and community members are invited to adopt a tree to decorate in their own special way. The community trees will once again be part of our annual Holiday Festival, Parade & Tree Lighting Ceremony on Sunday, November 28 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. The festival will include the spectacular holiday décor on the Village Center lawn along with the community trees! Trees are available on a first-come, first- served basis. • Trees are approximately 5’ tall and will include lights and a sign with your organization name • You provide the decorations (hand-made or store bought) • Tree decoration needs to be completed by Saturday, November 27 • Trees will be assigned and labeled for each organization • Please remove decorations by Monday, January 11 PROGRAM#: 92222 | FEE: FREE | LIMIT: 15 For Tree Adoption Forms & Full Details call 708.403.5000. • No cost to adopt a tree - Limited quantities available.
LIONS CLUB CHRISTMAS TREE & WREATH SALE
The Lions Club will be selling Christmas trees and wreaths daily, starting November 20 until the trees are sold out. MON–FRI: 4p-8p | SAT: 9a-7p | SUN: 10a-4p LOCATION: 14700 S. Ravinia (South of Village Hall)
SANTA’S PIT STOP AT SPORTSPLEX DAY/DATE: Saturday / December 11 TIME: 9a-12p
Santa will be making his annual stop at the Sportsplex. Bring your camera to capture a picture of your child’s visit with Santa. No fee or pre-registration necessary.
