WILDERNESS CAMP Kids, conquer the great outdoors! Campers will learn about snake bites, poisonous plants, bugs and distress signals. Role-play emergency situations, like tying a tourniquet, wrapimg a splint for a broken leg and filtering dirty water. Also learn how there are 20 ways to use a bandanna. A camp that will surely get kids prepared for upcoming camping trips! It’s that time of year where you get to bring your American Girl doll to the Museum and enjoy some summer fun. Dance, play games and make new accessories including a hammock.
Dig in dirt and sand for artifacts, learn about ancient civilizations and be your own detective, solving mysterious puzzles!

FARM ANIMAL VET CAMP
AGE: 6 to 8 LOCATION: Orland Park History Museum

Become a farm veterinarian for a week! Role play the responsibilities of a veterinarian and learn how to care for various farm animals, like horses. Campers will suture lacerations, understand proper animal nutrition and how to perform a nose-to-tail exam. Animals will not be on site, however, campers will still get a wonderful hands-on experience.
ART CAMP Let your creativity run wild in this camp! Paint with spray bottles, learn how to make an exploding masterpiece and use spoons and droppers to make beautiful paint effects.
FARMER CAMP Enjoy this outdoor camp at the farm! Each day will have new crafts, games and activities, all with a connection to farm life and animals.

BIRTHDAY PARTIES AT THE MUSEUM Looking for a cool place that has unique, fun-themed birthday parties? Have your next party at the Orland Park History Museum! Choose one of the themes geared towards your child’s age and historic interests. Parties are 2 hours in duration and include themed crafts and activities. Tablecloths will be provided. Other types of tablecloths and/or decorations can be brought in, if desired. Time for cake and opening gifts will also be allotted. Parties are tailored for children ages 4 - 10 years old. Please book your party at least two weeks in advance by contacting the Museum Curator at 708.873.1622 or emailing sstasukewicz@orlandpark.org.
