HIP HOP CLASSES Boys and girls, would you like to dance and move like today’s hottest stars? We’ll get down to some of today’s greatest music while focusing on rhythm, musicality and basic footwork while using combinations and steps with music. Hip hop is a great way to get kids moving while having fun! Boys are welcome in all classes. Please see important recital/costume measuring information. No class the week of March 27-April 1, May 1-6 (week used for make-ups), May 27 & 29.

DANCE RECITAL/ COSTUME MEASURING INFORMATION JUNE 10 & 11 The Spring Dance Recital will be held at the Carl Sandburg Performing Arts Center on June 10 & 11. Rehearsals will take place on June 7 & 8 at either 4:30pm or 6:45pm. Dancers are expected to perform at both the rehearsal and recital. Please keep these dates open because scheduling requests cannot be accommodated. Tickets for the recital will be $10.00 per performance date with a limited number of tickets per family. If you have more than one child enrolled or they are enrolled in more than one class, performances may be held at different shows. Should there be any changes or modifications regarding the recital performances, dancers and their families will be notified as soon as possible. Costume fees have been included in the registration fee unless otherwise noted. Costume measurements will take place Monday, December 19 from 6:00p-8:00p, and Sunday, January 8 from 1:00p-3:00p. Students only need to attend one measurement session. Measurements will take place at the Cultural Center, 14760 Park Lane. All students are required to be measured by the first day of class. Please wear a leotard under your clothes for proper measuring. Irish Dance and Technique students do not need to be measured for costumes. IRISH DANCE Irish dancing has been around for centuries as stately dancers move to the familiar sound of tin whistles and fiddles. Under the direction of award winning Irish dance instructor, Kathie Horan, boys and girls will learn the fundamentals of the Jig and the Reel. Students are required to wear ballet shoes and comfortable clothing. No class March 29 & May 3 (date used for make-ups).
