JUNIOR JOKESTERS This non-performance group practices their acting through basic improvised scene work and games. New skills are taught and reviewed in a fun, safe environment geared specifically towards teaching child/preteen participants the essentials of improv comedy. Agreement and support in ensemble work, getting over stage fright, being in the moment, and making bold choices will be the focus of this program. No class February 4. READER’S THEATRE PROGRAM In this fun program your child will improve their reading skills and social development. Children will build fluency and comprehension skills through an interactive program that allows them to enjoy reading in the art of a performance. Your child will gain confidence, a love for reading, and the assurance to read out loud in front of an audience. A parents only small performance will be held during the last class. NEW

AUDITION AMBITION In this workshop, children will learn the ins and outs of making an impression at a theatre audition. We will cover the appropriate attire, behavior, attitude, how to stand out and impress without showing off ... all the qualities directors are looking for. We will also touch on different ways you may be asked to audition and practice some of the techniques.

In this workshop, we will work on techniques for presenting a successful monologue, whether for school, auditions and theatre, or just presenting before an audience. Learn the tips, tricks and tactics to make a great impression. This class will be hands-on as each child will be memorizing and presenting within the 3 hours of the workshop.
