Over meters were replaced in this first year, As of 2023, the Village has completed five of seven elevated tank rehabilitations. The final two tanks are planned in 2024. Work involves painting the exterior and interior, upgrading the electric, and updating structural components of the tanks. $"5"-*/" 46#%*7*4*0/ 8"5&3."*/ 3&1-"$&.&/5 In early 2023, the Village initiated a multiyear project to reline and replace the water mains in the Catalina Subdivision that were originally installed in the 1970’s. The first phase of this project began in July 2023. Fer-Pal was contracted to reline the Village’s main inch water main that runs through the Catalina subdivision. Starting at Sycamore Drive and 80th Avenue, the lining ran southeast though Orchid Lane to Wheeler Drive and then East on Wheeler Drive to Harlem Avenue. The final portion of this lining work will be done in the Willowood Court townhomes area early next year. Phase II of the project will see water mains being replaced throughout Primrose Lane, Palm Drive, and many of the neighborhood’s cul-de-sacs and is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2024. 4"/*5"3: 4&8&3 The Village of Orland Park has a separate sewer system, meaning there are public sanitary sewer mains for waste disposal (plumbing discharges), and public storm sewer mains for rainwater disposal (from storm sewers and sump pump discharges). The discharges from the public sanitary sewer system are sent to a wastewater treatment facility operated by the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRDGC). The discharges from the public storm sewer system are sent to the local rivers and streams through dry and/or wet detention basins. allowing the two year plan to be reduced to one year. &-&7"5&% 5"/, 3&)"#*-*5"5*0/
