In 2024, the department saw one sustained citizen complaint, marking the fourth year in a row with 1 or less complaints, and lowering the five-year average to 2. This far exceeds the national standards for sustained complaints against law enforcement.

As evidenced above in the citizen complaints dispositions, 7% of all complaints against members of the Orland Park Police Department were sustained over the last five years, none of which were allegations of criminal misconduct.

The Orland Park Police Department responded to 229,372 calls for service in 2024, with only one sustained citizen complaint.
