INVESTIGATION – 1

SUBJECTS ARRESTED IN CONNECTION TO MURDER On March 20, 2024, the Orland Park Police Department responded to the area of 17000 Pond Willow Drive for reports of gun fire in the area. Arriving officers observed a parked vehicle with numerous bullet holes. Officers also found a female, the lone occupant of the vehicle, deceased from multiple gunshot wounds. After months of investigation, which included obtaining and analyzing large amounts of technological data, these investigators were able to identify numerous suspects and determine what role they played in the homicide. The investigators were able to obtain an arrest warrant for first degree murder, for one suspect. On August 15, 2024, investigators coordinated with the FBI Criminal Apprehension Team to arrest the suspect, related to the first degree murder warrant. That suspect was arrested in Las Vegas, Nevada and extradited back to Illinois. Following extradition, that suspect was officially charged with first degree murder. Additonally, two other suspects, involved in different capacities of the crime, were charged with felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle and felony obstruction of Justice.
