PIXIE POM This is a fun, energetic introduction to dancing with poms! Little dancers will love learning basic jazz style dancing and pom moves, jumps and tricks. Pom Pons will be provided. Please wear ballet shoes and comfortable clothing (no jeans). Please see important recital/costume measuring information in the Dance section of the program guide. No class March 30, May 11 (class used for make-ups), May 25.

foundations of modern dance technique, including suspension and release, fall and recovery, the use of momentum, and connecting breath with movement. Dancers will explore new ways of moving in combinations, floor work and partnering, and also in various methods of improvisation. No class March 27 and May 8 (date used for make ups).

IRISH DANCE Irish dancing has been around for centuries as stately dancers move to the familiar sound of tin whistles and fiddles. Under the direction of award winning Irish dance instructor, Kathie Horan, boys and girls will learn the fundamentals of the Jig and the Reel. Students are required to wear ballet shoes and comfortable clothing. No class March 27 and May 8 (date used for make-ups).

We strive to make all programs an optimal experience by providing reasonable accommodations to the program. The Special Recreation Division provides inclusion assistance to programs servicing clientele ages 3 years and up. Please indicate at the time of registration that 1:1 assistance is needed. Programs that are not eligible for 1:1 services are as follows: Parent/Tot classes, off-site and/or contracted programs and day care services.
