PICKLEBALL Pickleball is a racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Two, three, or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, similar to a whiffle ball, over a net. The sport shares features of other racquet sports, the dimensions and layout of a badminton court, and a net and rules similar to tennis, with a few modifications. Available at the Sportsplex, Monday-Friday from 9:00a-2:00p, (excluding school holidays) with Monday, Wednesday and Friday geared toward beginner play, and Tuesday and Thursday for the Intermediate/Advanced players. SIT AND FIT This class will cover gentle exercises for seniors and those with physical limitations. Exercises can be done seated or standing utilizing free weights and bands. Participants will learn the importance of strength training and stretching. No class March 27.

SENIOR SOFTBALL If you always wanted to try it, we make it easy for you to join! Orland Park Men’s Senior 12-inch slow pitch Softball League has six teams. We play a 30 game schedule beginning in May and culminating in a Playoff at the end of August. We play on Mondays and Thursday evenings at several parks in Orland Park. It is a fun time with a bunch of guys that love the game. A chance to build new friendships. We are always looking for new players. Costs are based on registration fees, equipment and jerseys. Approximately $50 paid to the coach of your team. Come out and give it a try! SPORTSPLEX SENIOR CLUBS

Senior Clubs are open to those age 55 & better. Groups will meet each week at the Sportsplex to utilize the fitness center, track, play volleyball, bocce ball and finish with some camaraderie with fellow Senior Club members. This is a great way to meet friends, be active and stay fit. Club enrollment includes use of locker rooms and towel service during the club meeting time. Registration is required.
