A MESSAGE FROM MAYOR DODGE
Dear Orland Park Residents, I am thrilled to introduce the latest edition of our Recreation Program Guide, where I invite you to explore the many exciting activities and events we have planned for the coming months here in Orland Park. I am particularly excited to announce that the annual Taste of Orland Park is returning to its beloved original home at the Village Green! This year, the event will be more accessible than ever, especially for our senior residents, with convenient parking and the comfort and safety of the air-conditioned Civic Center. We’ve worked diligently to ensure this beloved event will be a delightful gathering where community spirit thrives. With talented artists taking the stage with live music, delicious offerings from the area’s best restaurants and activities for the family, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Looking ahead, I want to remind you about the Veterans Golf Classic scheduled for August 26 at Silver Lake Country Club. This event not only honors those who have served, but also provides an opportunity to unite and support one another, a quintessential part of what makes Orland Park a wonderful place to live. I hope to see you there! I’m honored to join in the upcoming national commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary throughout 2026, culminating on July 4th. This historic occasion will recognize the profound sacrifices and enduring contributions of American service members and patriots who shaped our nation’s journey. Further details about the commemoration will be shared in the coming months. Our community is built on connections, trust, and the shared values that bind us together. Every event we host, every program we offer, reflects our commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all residents. Visit orlandpark.org for a full and updated list of events and happenings throughout the year. Don’t see something you are looking for? Let us know! We encourage and welcome suggestions and ideas. Thank you for being a part of this community. I can’t wait to see you at our upcoming events!
