MESSAGE FROM THE CHIEF OF POLICE

Mayor Dodge, Trustees, Village Manager and the Residents of Orland Park,

As we reflect on 2025, I am proud to share a summary of the Police Department’s continued efforts to strengthen community partnerships, enhance public safety and maintain a high level of service to our residents and businesses. The accomplishments outlined below represent the dedication and professionalism of our personnel, as well as the strong collaboration we share with the community we serve. Community engagement remained a cornerstone of our policing philosophy throughout 2025. The department hosted three Cones with a Cop events, three Coffee with a Cop gatherings and three Cookout with a Cop events, all of which provided residents with informal opportunities to interact with officers and build positive relationships. We also proudly hosted National Night Out and conducted a Citizens’ Police Academy, giving participants an inside look at police operations while fostering transparency and understanding. Our Community Relations Team remained actively involved in youth and community outreach initiatives, including continued participation in the D.A.R.E. program, local school career days, District 135’s Back-to-School Bash and numerous Trunk-or-Treat events held throughout the community. These efforts continue to strengthen trust, build relationships and reinforce our commitment to community-oriented policing.
