SUBJECTS CHARGED WITH ROBBERY On September 25, 2025, officers from the Orland Park Police Department responded to the area of Village Square Park for a reported theft. Upon arrival, officers learned that the victim had arranged to meet an individual for the purpose of selling Apple AirPods. During the transaction, three masked offenders approached both the seller and the prospective buyer. The offenders pushed the seller to the ground and, along with the alleged buyer, forcibly took the AirPods from the victim’s person before fleeing the scene. The victim was able to obtain the license plate number of the suspect vehicle and provided that information to responding officers. The Targeted Response Unit subsequently located the vehicle in a neighboring jurisdiction, where it was observed attempting to evade detection. Officers conducted a stop and were able to safely take the offenders into custody. The stolen AirPods were recovered at that time. The offenders were identified as juveniles and were charged with robbery.
