A MESSAGE FROM MAYOR PEKAU
As we approach the summer season, I am excited to share all the wonderful recreational opportunities that will make it truly special in Orland Park. Whether you’re looking to stay active, enjoy live entertainment, or spend time with family and friends, there’s something for everyone to enjoy in our community. We are offering a wide range of sports and specialty camps for children. With something for every interest, our camps will help keep your children active and engaged all summer long. I’m pleased to announce everything we have planned at Centennial Park West, including a new line-up of Thursday evening special events featuring live music, food trucks, and fun activities for all ages. Additionally, Orland Park will also host three national-level touring artists in concert. These concerts promise to bring high energy performances and memorable music. And don't forget the Taste of Orland Park, featuring an array of local restaurants and food vendors, and entertainment for all ages. Our 4th of July festivities will include the Veterans Liberty Run & Walk on July 3, the new pet and kids bike parade and fireworks. We’re excited to host a variety of family friendly events at our Heritage Sites. Many held at Stellwagen Farm, a unique location where you can enjoy the charm of Orland Park’s rural past while participating in seasonal activities. Looking to stay active? I encourage you to take advantage of the Sportsplex or the Orland Park Health and Fitness Center. Both facilities offer a variety of fitness classes and equipment for individuals of all levels, to keep you on track with your health and wellness goals. Summer would not be complete without a visit to the Centennial Park Aquatic Center. Pool memberships are on sale now. There’s truly no shortage of activities and events this summer in Orland Park, let’s make this summer one to remember!
