In 2026, the Finance Department will focus on several new and continuing projects, including the following: • Working towards the GFOA Triple Crown of financial reporting excellence award • Continuing internal audits to evaluate and strengthen the internal control framework and control environment • Improving coordination of the budget development process across all departments • Implementing a monthly financial reporting dashboard to enhance transparency and provide residents with clear, accessible financial information • Implementing the Accounts Receivable module within the Munis ERP system • Standardizing month-end processes, including monthly, quarterly and annual close checklists • Maintaining a strong focus on operational efficiency and continuous process improvement
