The mission of the Orland Park Police Department is to enhance the quality of life for the residents and visitors within our community by providing professional, high quality and effective police service in partnership with Village residents and businesses. The department has a vital impact on the quality of life in the community. Department Updates The Orland Park Police Department utilizes the latest technology, processes and procedures as part of the ongoing duty to provide safety services to Orland Park. Below are some of the new and ongoing projects from 2025 and 2026: Cameras - The department installed new cameras at various streets and locations in 2025. Several of these cameras continue to contribute to the identification and apprehension of offenders and assist in the investigation of motor vehicle accidents. Brazos Citation Management – The department is continuing to develop and configure the replacement of existing Municipal Ordinance Violation and Parking Citation Systems. This allows the issuing officer to directly enter the citation into Tyler Technologies Records and Brazos Citation Management System. The department is presently updating the Orland Municipal Code. Enterprise Records – The department is continuing progress towards the implementation of the new Tyler Records Management System. The projected Go Live date is June 2026.
