UNIFIED SPORTS Unified Sports joins individuals with and without intellectual disabilities to participate on the same team. Special Recreation offers four Unified Sports: Bocce, Bags, Golf and Bowling. Families must provide a partner if they are interested in participating in a Unified Sports competition, which can be a family member or friend. Benefits of participating include respect, understanding, acceptance, with the main goal of promoting social inclusion through sport.
