SPECIAL PROGRAMS AT OPHFC BODYWEIGHT TRAINING
GENTLE YOGA A beginner yoga class designed to meet the needs of seniors and other participants with special needs. Chairs will be used. We will focus on proper lifting techniques, core strengthening and preventing bone loss. This class is aimed at beginners who are looking to improve their quality of life. Also, for those who are looking for a land class to supplement their aqua class! Our low-intensity session can support you in your daily activities. Exercises will include bodyweight, dumbbells, resistance bands and weight machines. PARKINSONS FITNESS This class will incorporate chair and supported standing exercises on the wall/Barre for participants diagnosed with Parkinson’s or MS. Class will incorporate strength, balance, coordination, range of motion and flexibility training.
Join us for this moderate-intensity class. We will focus on muscular endurance and stability by utilizing suspension straps and your own body!
