HOMETOWN HEROES BANNERS The Village of Orland Park proudly participates in the Hometown Heroes Banner Program, a heartfelt tribute honoring our local veterans, active-duty service members and fallen heroes. Personalized banners featuring their names, photos and military details are displayed on light poles throughout the Village as a public expression of gratitude and respect for their service and sacrifice. To learn more or to order a banner for your hero, please visit our Veterans Resources page at orlandpark.org/departments/veterans Banners are displayed on Ravinia Ave from 143rd to 159th, Memorial Day through Veterans’ Day.

2 WAYS TO PARTICIPATE: DROP OFF CARE PACKAGE ITEMS Items can be dropped off at Village Hall in the lobby box next to the bookcase. Please see below for a list of acceptable donations. DONATE POSTAGE The cost is $20 to send each package. APPROVED ITEMS TO SEND TO THE TROOPS: • Energy bars/protein bars • Beef jerky/beef snacks • Canned goods for single portion meals (e.g. soups, spaghetti, etc.) • Laundry detergent powder & pods (no liquid)

• Laundry dryer sheets • Foot & body powder • Q tips, toothpaste, dental floss • Chapstick, headache & cold medicine • Crew socks • Tubes of body lotion & sunscreen • Travel size: shampoo, conditioner, hand sanitizer • Soap bars / hand wipes • Razors No glass containers allowed.

• Feminine products (e.g. tampons, pads, etc.) • Gum, breath mints, candy, cookies, chips • Single pack drink mix (e.g. Kool Aid, lemonade, Gatorade, etc.) • Freeze dried fruit • Sandwich crackers, granola bars • Microwavable meals • BBQ & hot sauce packets
