INDEPENDENCE

Rhodes to Independence (RTI) offers recreation and leisure opportunities for adults with disabilities ages 22 and above. The RTI Adult Day Program offers a vast array of activities both in the community and in-house working on cognitive, social and physical skills to help increase independence. RTI strives to provide all participants with meaningful recreation skills that can be utilized in everyday routines.

Program Information • Program is structured up to 1:5 staff to participant ratio. • Participants must be independent in bathroom/toileting.

• RTI offers 2.5 day (Mon, Wed and Fri), 2 days (Mon and Wed) and half day (Fri) options (not available in the summer). • The Village of Orland Park Special Recreation Division reserves the right to determine if RTI is appropriate for an individual. • Appropriate behaviors must be demonstrated so as not to detract from other participants’ experiences in the program. • RTI welcomes all individuals who meet the age and program guidelines.
