25 OP Winter Senior Newsletter

LETTER FROM THE MAYOR

2025. These gatherings are a great opportunity to stay informed, share ideas and ask questions in a relaxed, welcoming setting. I also want to thank State Rep. Nicole La Ha for spending time with residents at our Pancakes with the Mayor (and Santa) event. Please continue to check the Village website and social media for updates on events planned for 2026. I look forward to seeing familiar faces and welcoming those who may be attending for the first time. If you’re looking to stay active this winter, I encourage you to explore the many adult and senior programs available through the Orland Park Health and Fitness Center and Sportsplex. These programs offer a great way to stay moving, meet new people and maintain a healthy, active lifestyle. Staying connected with our senior community is very important to me. If you have questions, ideas or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly at jimdodge@ orlandpark.org or by phone at 708-403-6160. Thank you for your continued trust and support. It is truly an honor to serve you.

Dear Orland Park Seniors,

I hope you are doing well and staying warm this winter. It has been a busy and enjoyable season in Orland Park, and it has been great seeing so many of you out in the community, reconnecting with friends and taking part in Village activities. Over the past few months, we’ve shared many meaningful moments together, from honoring our veterans on Veterans Day to celebrating the holiday season throughout our parks and facilities. Most recently, the Christmas Tree Lighting, Festival and Parade brought neighbors together for food, music and holiday cheer. Moments like these remind us how fortunate we are to live in such a close-knit community, and they leave me feeling hopeful as we look ahead to 2026. Please take a moment to review the calendar on the previous page for events happening this winter and spring. The Village offers a wide variety of programs, outings and special events designed with our senior community in mind, providing opportunities to stay active, social and engaged throughout the year.
