During the winter months, residents are encouraged to monitor the weather, and to check on elderly and disabled relatives, friends and neighbors who may be more at risk to extreme cold.

The safety of residents and guests in Orland Park remains the top priority for the Orland Park Police Department. We are proud to share that Index Crimes continue to trend below our 25-year average, and overall crime in Orland Park continues to decline. As we welcome the winter season, we must remain vigilant. Seasonal changes can bring new opportunities for criminal activity, and we ask that you continue to be observant in your neighborhoods.

The Cruise Lights Pilot Program will increase officer visibility as part of the department’s ongoing commitment to proactive, visible and community-focused policing.
