HIP HOP Let’s get down to some of today’s greatest music while focusing on rhythm, musicality and basic footwork while using combinations and steps with music. TECHNIQUE CLASS Proper ballet and jazz technique with an emphasis on turns, leaps and jumps will be taught. Perfect for the aspiring dancer! This is a non-recital class. No class March 27 and May 8 (date used for make-ups)
TAP III This high energy, fast-paced tap class is for the advanced tap dancer. Students will learn complex combinations with a focus on technique. Teacher approval required to register for this class. Please see important recital/costume measuring information in the Dance section of the program guide. No class March 25, May 6 (date used for make-ups), May 27.

A black leotard & pink tights are required for all ballet and tap classes. Please, no tutus, long skirts or black ballet shoes. • Ballet & Budding Ballerinas — pink leather ballet shoes • Tap — black tap shoes • Pre-Ballet/Tap — black tap shoes and pink leather ballet shoes • Jazz — black jazz pants, black leotard & black jazz shoes • Lyrical/Modern/Contemporary — black dance shorts, black leotard, tights and neutral footundeez • Pre Hip Hop — black jazz or black hip hop dance shoes • Boys Hip Hop — clean gym shoes (please don’t wear outside) • Hip Hop I & II — special shoes are not required for class, just clean and not worn outside. DANCE RECITAL/COSTUME MEASURING INFORMATION JUNE 8 & 9
The Spring Dance Recital will be held at the Carl Sandburg Performing Arts Center on June 8 & 9. Rehearsals will take place on June 5 & 6 at either 4:30pm or 6:45pm. Dancers are expected to perform at both the rehearsal and recital. Please keep these dates open because scheduling requests cannot be accommodated. Tickets for the recital will be $11.50 per performance date with a limited number of tickets per family. If you have more than one child enrolled or they are enrolled in more than one class, performances may be held at different shows. Should there be any changes or modifications regarding the recital performances, dancers and their families will be notified as soon as possible. Costume fees have been included in the registration fee unless otherwise noted. Costume measurements will take place Monday, December 11 from 6:00p-8:00p, and Sunday, January 7 from 1:00p-3:00p. Students only need to attend one measurement session. Measurements will take place at the Cultural Center, 14760 Park Lane. All students are required to be measured by the first day of class. Please wear a leotard under your clothes for proper measuring. Irish Dance and Technique students do not need to be measured for costumes.
