Door-to-door pickups are available to those individuals residing within the Village of Orland Park boundaries. The mini-bus is equipped with a hydraulic lift to accommodate wheelchairs. Service will depend on a minimum number of participants. Pick up will be one hour before and drop off will be approximately one hour after the registered class time. For transportation issues, please contact Kathleen Hellwig at (708)567-2807. If less than 3 participants sign up, the bus will be cancelled. If registering 2 or more participants from the same family/household for bus service, additional individuals will only be charged 1/2 price. All participants must be registered for the same program and have the same pick-up and drop off points. (Please note that there is no charge for Dine Out Bus if registered for Time to Spare Bowling Bus Service.) PLEASENOTE a change in registration deadlines. ProgramBus deadlines will be specific to each program. If Saturday Programs deadline is September 20, the ProgramBus for Saturday programs is due on the same date. Tables will be numbered and assigned. Set up will begin at 7:00 AM. We will be hosting a huge indoor garage sale! This event is held to raise funds for the Special Recreation program. The sale is bound to be fun for everyone. Please come out and shop ‘til you drop or rent a table and sell your goods. Vendors will be selling their goods from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Tootsie Roll Banks Help us raise funds for Orland Park Special Recreation! Tootsie Roll Banks are available for purchase for $48.00 a box. This year we are requiring each Special Recreation family to purchase one box. Remember, all proceeds assist “all special recreation programs.” Tootsie Rolls will be available at both the Sportsplex and Recreation Administration offices. The volunteer’s Tootsie Roll store front sales will be both Friday, September 13 & Saturday, September 14. In addition, we will be sellling at two store fronts on Friday, September 20, and Saturday, September 21. A letter will be sent out regarding order forms for Tootsie Roll purchase. How about a night of candlelight bowling, a silent auction and lots of laughs? Tickets are $30.00 per person and all proceeds go to support Special Recreation prorams. Come out, bring your family and friends, and support a great program! Pizza will be provided. All drinks can be purchased at the cash bar at Orland Bowl. REGISTRATIONDEADLINE: Oct 4 B E A S TAR ! Don’t be shy, send in your favorite photos from programs, parks or special events and we may use them in an upcoming brochure or flyer.
