Must be 12 years of age or older to operate kayak. 2. Participants ages 12 to 15 may utilize a kayak when accompanied by a person 16 years of age or older in another kayak. 3. Participants age 8 to 11 may only utilize a kayak in a 2-person kayak when accompanied by an individual 16 years of age or older. 4. No one under the age of 8 years may utilize a kayak. Pedal Boat Regulations 1. Must be 14 years of age or older to operate pedal boat. 2. Participants under the age of 14 must be accompanied by at least one individual 16 years of age or older. 3. No one under the age of 5 years is permitted on a pedal boat. 4. Sitting on laps is not permitted. Boater Information 1. Rentals are made thru the Centennial Park Aquatic Center cashier's office. 2. All rentals are on a first come, first served basis. 3. Renters must be at least 16 years of age and have a valid driver's license or state ID to rent watercraft. 4. All renters 18 years & up are required to sign a waiver. Those under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian (18 years or older) sign a waiver on their behalf. 5. Rentals are a minimum of 1 hour. Boats returned greater than 10 minutes after the hour will be assessed an additional 30 minute fee. Boats returned more than 30 minutes after the hour will be assessed a full hour rental fee. 6. A $20 cash deposit is required to rent a water craft. 7. Fees must be paid in advance. Deposit will be returned after any late fees have been applied. 8. All patrons are required to wear a Village of Orland Park life vest at all times while on the lake. 9. Fishing from pedal boats or kayaks is not permitted. 10. Docking boats anywhere other than the boat launch is not permitted unless there is an emergency. 11. Renters are responsible for damage, or loss to the boats and/or equipment. Weather conditions create an unsafe situation and during periods or days when Centennial Park Aquatic Center is closed. Boat / kayak r e nta l s m a y b e s u s p e n d e d w h e n : August 30 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM September 2 (Labor Day) - 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM MODIFIED HOURS $5.00 per hour/per person $20.00 per 1/2 day/per person (5 hour max.) $25.00 full day/per person $3.00 per 1/2 hour for any time over the initial hour rental Kayak Rental Fees: (after 30 minutes, the full hour will be charged) $10.00 per hour/per boat $5.00 per 1/2 hour for any time over the initial hour rental Pedal Boat Rental Fees: (after 30 minutes, the full hour will be charged) * (No boat rentals Aug 16 & 23)
