Pathlights, formerly known as PLOWS Council on Aging helps navigate and celebrate aging in the Southwest Suburbs of Cook County. For more than 45 years, we have guided individuals, caregivers, families, and friends along the best path to aging – providing resources, advocacy programs, and services needed to live with independence and dignity in the community.

Are you looking for food assistance?

Are you a family caregiver looking for general support? Our Caregiver Resource Center provides education and assistance – we organize a series of monthly support groups and engaging events, and consult about financial assistance, legal issues, self-care and, in some cases, emergency funding. Pathlights provides the latest information to help eligible older adults and adults with disabilities understand SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance program formerly known as food stamps) – a program that provides financial assistance for food purchases with the LINK card.
