A LOOK BACK: BANNER DEDICATION & WALKING TOUR

Veterans Hometown Heroes Banner Dedication

On Saturday, July 16, we honored our Hometown Heroes with a ceremony at the Ara Pace Veterans Memorial followed by walking tours down Ravinia Avenue featuring 35 additional veterans’ banners. Veterans and families exchanged stories about their experiences, reflecting on their own or their loved-one’s service.

Thank you to Trustee Sean Kampas for the moving speech, the Veterans Commission for hosting, the volunteers who made the event possible and to everyone who came out to support local veterans.
