MAYOR’S EVENTS Mayor Jim Dodge recently hosted several community outreach events, including Coffee with Mayor Dodge at Darvin Furniture alongside Darvin President Will Harris; Lunch with Monica Gordon at the Civic Center, which focused on early voting changes; and Reubens with the Mayor at Girl in the Park featuring Vice Consul General of Ireland in Chicago Pádraig Manning. These events continue to provide residents with opportunities to connect with local leaders, ask questions and participate in meaningful conversations about issues impacting the community. COMMISSIONS & BOARDS The Village of Orland Park is seeking motivated applicants to serve on the Student Advisory Board and the Young Entrepreneurs and Professionals Advisory Board. Advisory boards provide recommendations to Orland Park officials and staff on policy matters and assist in the creation of new initiatives. The Student Advisory Board will consist of high school juniors and seniors, as well as undergraduate students through their senior year or equivalent programs. Students in community colleges and technical schools will also be accepted. The advisory board will address issues pertaining specifically to students in Orland Park. Applicants must reside in Orland Park. Advisory boards meet in person once a month at an agreed upon time for roughly two hours. Commissioners may have limited responsibilities outside of meetings, including assigned tasks and research, agreed-upon at the discretion and agreement of the advisory board. Mayor Dodge’s Veterans Golf Classic Join us on the golf course as we honor and thank the many veterans who have sacrificed so much for our freedom. Mayor Dodge’s Veterans Golf Classic benefitting local veterans will be held Tuesday, September 22, 2025, at Silver Lake Country Club. The Orland Park Veterans Golf Classic is limited to 144 golfers. Registration deadline is September 15. • Golf & Dinner package - $175 per person • Golf only package - $145 per person. • Cocktails & Dinner package - $50 per person.
