GROWING ORLAND PARK

Northwestern Medicine The Village is thrilled to share that Northwestern Medicine has submitted plans to build a new, state-of-the-art $275 million Cancer Care Center at their Orland Park campus! This proposed 4-story, 315,000-square-foot facility will expand world-class oncology services right here in our community, ensuring our residents have access to the best care close to home. “Welcoming this state-of-the-art cancer center means world-class care right here in Orland Park, creating local jobs, and ensuring our residents have access to premier medical services when they need them most,” said Mayor Jim Dodge.

“Our new proactive, open-for-business leadership is delivering real results for our community. We are committed to fostering an environment where top-tier organizations like Northwestern Medicine want to grow, invest and create jobs in Orland Park.”

This proposal is planned to be added to the agendas of the upcoming Village meeting: - Committee of the Whole (COW) & Board of Trustees (BOT) Meetings: Monday, August 17 We look forward to sharing more updates as this project moves through the review process!

Former Riviera Country Club Property The Village is pleased to share that the Village of Orland Park has formally closed on a portion of the former Riviera Country Club property. The Village purchased the entire site except Signature Barn, which remains under its current private ownership. The Village also acquired the parcel where Opa Greek Restaurant is located. Opa and Signature Barn will continue to operate as they have. Public Works crews have been onsite securing the building and grounds including locking entry points, installing cameras and addressing immediate safety issues. When the former Riviera Country Club property was put up for sale, several parties expressed interest in acquiring it for differing concepts, including a private community center

and higher‑density residential. Recognizing a unique opportunity, the Village acted to align the site’s future with public, community‑serving uses, with a focus on expanding athletic and recreational opportunities for this area of Orland Park. Over the coming months, the Village will launch a feasibility study to determine the best ways to provide additional recreation/athletic training opportunities for residents. Community engagement will be essential, so please look for upcoming surveys, open houses and regular updates from the Village. In the meantime, please continue supporting beloved local businesses, Opa Greek Restaurant and Signature Barn.
