COMMUNITY pride Mayor Dan McLaughlin (center) welcomed the 2015 Chicago St. Patrick’s Day Parade queen and her court to the March 2nd Members and coaches from the the Orland Park Pioneer Football League who were honored at A. E.

A Community Pride Award was presented to Eagle Scout Matt Lusa from Orland Park Boy Scout Troop 318. Only 5 percent of scouts nationwide reach the rank of Eagle Scout. A Community Pride Award was given to Eagle Scout Eric Franklin for completion of his Eagle Scout Project. The project is required to reach the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America. At the February 2nd Village Board Meeting, Mayor McLaughlin presented Community Pride Awards to the Orland Park Girl Scouts who comprise the “Girls With Gears” Championship Team. The team won the CHAMPION AWARD at the First Lego League Regional Tournament.

the January 19th Village Board meeting. This team won the Southwest Midget Football League Super Bowl 2014 for their division. A community Pride Award was given to the Orland Park Pioneer Pee Wee Cheerleaders , first place winners of the Southwest Cheerleading Coordinators’ League 2014 Cheer/Pom Competition. Mayor McLaughlin presented Community Pride Awards to the undefeated, two and three time Super Bowl Champs, the Orland Knights Widgets . Providence Catholic High School Head Varsity Football Coach Mark Coglianese and the Orland Park members of the Class 7A state champion football team, Jake Rost , David Charnot and Sean Diehl were presented with a Community Pride Award.
