ZERO-WASTE AT THE TASTE

TAKE THE MAYOR’S CHALLENGE!

In alignment with the village’s existing green and sustainability efforts, we are proud to announce the Zero Waste at the Taste Mayor’s Challenge. The initiative will take place at the 2016 Taste of Orland Park where labeled totes will be available for placement of items for composting and recycling. The intention of the challenge is to greatly reduce the amount of waste sent to the landfill. In 2015, over 180 cubic yards of trash was generated and sent to the landfill. The success of this collective effort depends upon the cooperation of village staff, vendors, community leaders, volunteers and event participants. Together, we hope to make the 2016 Taste of Orland Park a more environmentally friendly event. Thank you for your help with the Mayor’s Challenge to work towards this green effort to be Zero Waste at the Taste!
