2022 CONSTRUCTION

Southwest Highway (Illinois 7) from 131st Street to 135th Street - IDOT Project

104th Avenue Multi-Use Path from 159th Street to 163rd Place - IDOT/Village Project

2022 CONSTRUCTION This IDOT project involves constructing new drainage crossings and a stormwater overflow area to help minimize area flooding. Motorists can expect shoulder closures with occasional lane closures. Access to residences and businesses within the work zone will be maintained throughout construction, which is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2022. Through IDOT, the Village of Orland Park will have a new multi-use path constructed to connect the existing paths at 159th Street and 163rd Place. This will eliminate a gap in the Village’s multi-use path system along the east side of 104th Avenue. Construction is anticipated to begin this summer and completed in late fall. Traffic along104th Avenue will be shifted one lane to the west to accommodate the work zone needed for construction.
