A MESSAGE FROM MAYOR PEKAU The Holiday Season is upon us. Among the hustle and bustle of this busy season, I hope you will enjoy the many recreation and fitness opportunities, special events, and outdoor activities offered by the Village of Orland Park. Within the pages of the Orland Park Recreation and Parks Department Winter/Spring program guide, you will find a wide variety of classes and programs for people of all ages and abilities including gymnastics, dance, martial arts, programs for individuals with special needs, activities for seniors as well as the 2022 summer camp and 2022/23 preschool information. Join us in closing out 2021 at our annual Children’s New Year’s Celebration, then start off 2022 by becoming a member the Orland Park Sportsplex or the Orland Park Health and Fitness Center. Both facilities provide a wide-ranging selection of fitness equipment and expertly taught classes for every ability level. The Orland Park History Museum has an assortment of presentations scheduled for 2022 including a new exhibit titled, The Life and Times or Orland Park Women opening on January 7, 2022. Parents are invited to enjoy an enchanting night creating special memories with your princess or prince at Cinderella’s Ball. Sign-up early, this is a popular event that will surely sell out quickly.

Don’t let the cold weather keep you from enjoying all that Orland Park has to offer. Bundle-up and get outside to enjoy a brisk stroll through one of the Village’s 65 parks, join the DogOut Dog Park, go sledding or ice skating at the Winter Wonderland Ice Rink. Opening November 27, 2021 (weather permitting), the rink is free to those with their own skates, and just $3 for those wishing to rent a pair of figure or hockey skates. The Village’s annual Holiday Festival and Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place on November 28th. We are excited to present an expanded parade that will travel down Ravinia Ave to Village Hall.
