INQUIRING MINDS Have a question about Village ordinances? Wondering what is allowed in the Village and what is not? Here are a few of the most frequently asked questions and answers: The Village is currently replacing meters and is scheduled to be finished in 2024. With the help of a support contractor, Professional Meters, Inc. (PMI), the installation process is divided into six (6) zones. The Village and contractor will provide advanced notification and outreach regarding the planned meter replacement work and coordination for each customer. For more information or to view meter replacement progress, visit orlandpark. org/waterinfo. DO I NEED A PERMIT FROM THE VILLAGE OF ORLAND PARK TO HAVE WORK DONE ON MY HOME? For most work, (fences, roofs, hot water heaters, furnaces, pools, decks, etc.) a permit is required. Please visit the Village of Orland Park website, www.orlandpark.org/ permits for further information. Permits are available on the website and can be filled in before bringing to the Development Services Department at Village Hall (14700 S. Ravinia Ave.) Fees are listed in the permit section. WHEN WILL MY WATER METER BE REPLACED?

WHO TRIMS MY PARKWAY TREES?

Although residential parkways are Village of Orland Park property, the trees must be trimmed by the homeowner. By ordinance, trees must have an eight (8) foot clearance from the ground and sidewalks. If you have a concern regarding a parkway tree, please contact the Public Works Department at publicworks@orlandpark.org or call 708-403-6350. Do the holidays impact Waste Management services? If so, which ones? Yes, when your collection day falls on or after one of the holidays listed below, your pick-up will be one day late during the week.
