COMMUNITY PRIDE

The Orland Park Owls competed in the Illinois Special Olympics Summer Games at Illinois State University. The Owls brought home 39 medals, competing in Bocce, Swimming, Track and Field, and Powerlifting, receiving 19 gold, 13 silver and 2 bronze medals. Congratulations to our Orland Park Owls athletes, coaches and parents!

Director Rich Miller and K9 Leo had the honor to receive the “Rich Kozik Memorial Award” at April’s 100 Club of Illinois Valor Awards. Thank you, Leo and Rich, for all you do for Orland Park and the surrounding communities.

At the July 17 board meeting, Orland Park/Homer Glen resident Austin Bielski was honored with the Community Pride Award for his fundraising work with Cups 4 Cancer to help improve the lives of people affected by childhood cancer.
