HONOR A LOVED ONE WITH A MEMORIAL BENCH OR TREE

VAU is an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit run by Veterans. On Memorial Day 2018, VAU completed it’s 1st traveling Global War on Terror (GWOT) Memorial Flag. This 28 foot wide by 6 foot tall American flag symbolizes the shape of the flag when draped on a fallen service members casket. It is formed with over 7,050 dog tags of all who have fallen in the War on Terror. VAU hopes to raise awareness of the sacrifice paid by our nation’s heroes that keep this country free and flying under one flag.

Honor a loved one with the purchase of a memorial bench or tree in Orland Park. Public memorials are a special way for family and friends to visit a passed loved one. Payments can be made via check to the Village of Orland Park. Once a payment has been made the Village of Orland Park Arborist will contact the purchaser to discuss when and where a tree will be planted. A Public Works employee will do the same for those who purchase a bench.

Memorial Bench Pricing: $1,500

The memorial bench will include the name of your loved one, whom it was dedicated by and the year.

The memorial tree will include the name of your loved one and a personalized message on a six by nine inch bronze plaque.
