The Village of Orland Park has installed a new Outdoor Warning Siren system. Federal Signals CommanderOne is a cloud-based control and messaging system

The Orland Park Police Department’s goal is to enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors within our community by providing professional, high-quality and effective police service. The department has invested in new resources to help that cause with a new set of BWCs (Body-worn cameras) and new cameras for the patrol car, with the goal of being able to identify and document incidents more effectively. Axon’s Body and Fleet Camera program bundles hardware, software, accessories, training programs, 24/7 customer support, equipment refreshes, and warranties together, to help equip the officers with the solutions they need. The Orland Park Police Department has received the following items catagorized in the right hand column.

This new system will allow for split second notifications based on AccuWeather alerts given for the area. These notifications are then broadcast to sirens and mobile devices simultaneously. The Village of Orland Park’s new Outdoor Warning Siren system represents a significant investment in the safety and well being of its residents. By leveraging cutting-edge technology and best practices in emergency management, the community is better equipped to respond to a wide range of potential threats and emergencies.
