PUBLIC SAFETY The mission of the Orland Park Police Department is to enhance the quality

Training for traffic reconstruction utilizing drones continued with recertification for existing staff as well as officers from surrounding agencies. The method of traffic reconstruction allows for faster reconstruction and shorter road closure time. In 2022, First aid kits were updated for use by officers on the street. The new first aid kits have additional lifesaving tools inside them along with kits to assist in mass casualty situations. In 2023, Supervisor WFIJDMFT were enhanced with mass casualty first aid Trauma Kits. During 2023, the Community Relations Team participated in over 80 community relations events. Many of those events are hosted by The Orland Park Police Department and include:

This new method is more efficient and allows for a faster delivery of the lifesaving drug. In 2023, the Illinois Law Enforcement Alarm System (ILEAS)supplied additional nasal narcan supply to provide to locations with repeated opioid issues.
