VILLAGE OF ORLAND PARK VETERANS DAY PROGRAM

On Monday, November 11, the community came together to honor our veterans at the Orland Park Civic Center. The event featured a presentation of colors by Veterans Voices, moving words from Mayor Keith Pekau and Veterans Program Coordinator Dan Marsan and singing of the national anthem and God Bless America by Theresa Kolssak

MEDAL OF HONOR MUSEUM: THE VALOR EXPRESS

The Valor Express Medal of Honor Museum visited the Village at Carl Sandburg High School on November 16. Attendees were treated to a presentation about the museum from Colonel Michael Caldwell, Medal of Honor recipient Alan Lynch as well as a message from Mayor Keith Pekau. It was a great time to learn about the Medal of Honor recipients’ stories of valor, and the work made to remember their stories.
