continue. If the camper continues disruptive behavior, the following progressive discipline actions will attempt to get the camper in compliance with the code of conduct. 1st Infraction/Demerit: Staff will identify the inappropriate behavior and have the camper sit out to reflect on their actions for five minutes prior to rejoining the group. Staff will reiterate the desired behavior and consequences should the behavior continue. 2nd Infraction/Demerit: If inappropriate behavior continues to occur or becomes more serious, staff will call the camper’s parent/guardian and notify them of the continued inappropriate behavior and the child will be removed for the activity. A written report of the incident will be sent home. 3rd Infraction/Demerit: At the 3rd inappropriate behavior occurrence, privileges will be immediately revoked for the remainder of the day. The Camp Coordinator will contact the parent/guardian and provide a written report of the incident. The camper will be put on a 5-day probationary period in which any other incident will result in immediate suspension from camp for up to five days. Suspension: If after the prior 3-steps are unsuccessful, the camper may be suspended or expelled from the camp program. Please note that these steps are guidelines and exact responses to behaviors are situational and depend on the severity of the inappropriate hehavior. In the event a child is dismissed from a camp program because of behavior, the reigstation fee is non-refundable. Immediate Expulsion: Expulsion will be issued by the Program Supervisor, Recreation Division Manager, Assistant Director and Director of Recreation & Parks. A conference will then be held with the staff involved and the parent/guardian to discuss the decision and recommendations.
