Mayor McLaughlin presented a Community Pride Award to Lynne Donegan for her work in recent years to have automated external defibrillators (AEDs) installed in schools, gyms, sports arenas and other public places, and for staff to be trained in their use. Donegan championed the Colleen O'Sullivan Law, named in memory of a family member who died at age 30, two weeks after suffering an arrhythmia at a Chicago health club in 2002.

Pam Koebel, veteran Special Olympics Coach, was honored by Area 7 Special Olympics with Coach of the Year award. The award was given for Pam's "selfless dedication to the athletes and families of South Cook/Will counties" from Special Olympics- Illinois. We are proud to have Pam working with the village Special Recreation team.

V3 Companies of Illinois earned a ACEC Special Achievement Award in the 2013 Special Projects Category for the 143rd Street & LaGrange Road Improvement Project. Lou Gallucci, Executive Vice President of V3, presented the client award to the village.
