VILLAGE OF ORLAND PARK BUDGET PROCESS

The village’s budget process in a very detailed and thorough in order to ensure that the village can continue to provide outstanding services to village residents while remaining fiscally sound. The above timeline provides a snapshot of the annual process beginning with the budget planning meetings intended to capture trustee priorities to be incorporated into the proposed budget and ending with a public hearing and formal village board approval. A budget document will be made available for public viewing and a Notice Of Public Hearing will be issued during the last week of November. Residents are welcome to attend all budget meetings including the public hearing to be held on December 1 at Village Hall. Upon approval, the village’s final budget will be made available on the village website at www.orlandpark.org . The budget document that is submitted for the GFOA Distinguished Presentation Award will also be made available on the village website when complete. The village has been a recipient of this award for 22 consecutive years.
