SENIOR STRETCH Join our Senior Stretch class to improve flexibility, balance and overall well-being in a supportive and relaxed environment. Perfect for all fitness levels, this gentle exercise program helps you stay active and energized at any age. No class March 27.

SENIOR TRI Learn all the aspects of training for a triathlon. Running, biking and rowing skills will be taught. rowing will take the place of swimming. Have fun and develop a strong heart and body on our equipment and track. Balance and core work will be taught as well. No class March 27.

SENIOR BOOT CAMP Do you lose your balance or have a fear of falling? This class will help improve balance, strength and cardiovascular endurance. Participants will work at their own pace and modifications will be made for those with an injury. No class March 25 & 27.

SIT AND FIT This class will cover gentle exercises for participants and those with physical limitations. Exercises can be done seated or standing utilizing free weights and bands. Participants will learn the importance of strength training and stretching. No class March 26.

SENIOR BALANCE AND MORE This Senior Balance class is designed to strengthen the muscles that are most important for balance: hips, legs and core. Using primarily body weight, you will learn exercises to improve balance that you can do anywhere. No class March 25.

JOE’S GYM This is an independent/class hybrid. The perfect blend between group classes and private sessions for the intermediate Pilates practitioner. Each workout will be self-guided and self-paced with the assistance of an instructor. A semi-personalized workout will be provided by the instructor. While you move through your workout, the instructor will be there to correct form and alignment, allowing you to work at your own level while receiving personalized attention. Prerequisite-Must be taking two group classes per week or one private session per week. For more information, call the Fitness Manager at 708.403.6285. No class March 25.

PARKINSON’S / NEUROMUSCULAR EXERCISE CLASS The focus of this exercise class is to improve mobility of individuals with Parkinson’s and other neurodegenerative diseases. When you’ve been diagnosed with Parkinson’s, it is very important to stay moving and keep active in order to maintain optimal function. Exercise has been shown to be helpful in maintaining mobility throughout the lifespan. This class provides safe strengthening exercises with an emphasis on postural awareness, breathing, balance and rhythmical movement. These exercises aim to increase joint mobility, range of motion, improve balance recovery, gait mechanics, prevent joint deformation and elevate overall strength and stamina. No class March 24, 26 & 28
