Should a camper contract a highly communicable disease such as pink eye, chicken pox, head lice, measles, etc., parents should notify Camp Coordinator Samantha, at 708.603.0119, as soon as the child is diagnosed. Camp will notify affected campers and staff of the illness. WORKING TOGETHER To provide a successul Day Camp program, the staff, campers and parents must work together! Staff Responsibilities • Create and maintain a safe environment while providing campers with an enjoyable summer camp experience. • Encourage campers to participate in sports, games, art/ crafts, music, nature, swimming and field trips. • Provide a caring environment where discipline is fair, equal and respectful. • Teach campers fair play, teamwork and respect for authority, equipment and property. • Provide open communication between parents and camp. Parent Responsibilities • Support and enforce Day Camp’s policies and procedures. • Complete/update the ePACT health information account. Throughout the summer, keep staff informed about • Report absences prior to camp start time, 9 a.m. • Be open to communication from staff about your camper’s behavior and work with staff to achieve an agreeable solution. Camper Responsibilitie s • Be a good sport, display a positive attitude and have fun! • Participate actively in games, projects and teams. • Respect others, equipment and property. • Follow camp rules and counselor instructions. changes to emergency contact information. • Drop off and pick up the campers promptly.
